We are seeking a skilled WordPress Plugin Developer for our US-based client. You will be building sophisticated plugins that will connect to the back-end APIs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building WordPress plugins, or extensions to other major plugins in the market such as Elementor, Gravity Forms, Memberpress, etc., whether open source or commercial.
This is a startup environment, so the successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and flexible environment. The position will be remote, and the successful candidate should have the ability to work in a virtual setting.
In this role, you will:
Build various WordPress plugins that connect to back-end APIs and facilitate authentication, sign-up, identity verification, payment integration, payment history, surfacing opportunities to registered users, profile management, communications and notifications, and integration with technical support.
Ensure the plugins are reusable across different branded sites by reconfiguring and re-skinning them for different brands while keeping the code that facilitates the business logic and integration with APIs the same.
Develop plugins to support various configurations and rendering paths for different functionalities in different use cases.
Create a standardised mechanism to collect usage data and perform A/B tests of different rendering configurations.
Build out the administrative back-end and user-facing front-end that renders the plugin for the user visiting the WordPress site.
Play well and possibly extend existing industry standard plugins, in particular Elementor.
Ensure the plugins are at the level of a commercial-grade plugin.
The ideal candidate will:
Possess extensive experience building sophisticated WordPress plugins or extensions to other major plugins in the market such as Elementor, Gravity Forms, Memberpress, etc.
Be familiar with various hooks exposed by WordPress.
Have excellent skills in building the administrative back-end and user-facing front-end that renders the plugin for the user visiting the WordPress site.
Have strong knowledge of building out the logic/code that drives what the plugin performs.
Have the ability to work in an unstructured environment.
Have great communication skills in a virtual setting.
Be flexible to spend more hours with US working hours whenever needed.
Have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
Be experienced working with multiple types of plugins for different purposes
