Product Designer
FULL TIME | KARACHI
At Finqalab, the goal is to become the go-to digital platform for investments and savings in Pakistan based on design excellence and a great customer experience. In this multi-faceted and exciting role as a Digital Product Designer, it will be your job to design various investment related digital products, such as stock trading and other service offerings, and ensure they are intuitive and easy-to-use for people who want to invest and save.
Designers are strategic partners, from product innovation and planning to launch. We're looking for designers who can lead by connecting the dots between user insights, design patterns, design best practices, and business goals.
In this role, you will:
Lead design activities, taking the initiative and working proactively.
Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to deliver final products while working within technological and regulatory constraints.
Conduct research using a variety of appropriate methods, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and distill key insights and best practices that inform the product vision.
Identify business requirements and customer needs across multiple channels, touchpoints and interfaces in the service ecosystem.
Create holistic design solutions that fulfill business requirements, user needs and create engagement, trust and satisfaction.
Develop design systems and guidelines that ensure consistency during the software development process across multiple channels, devices, touchpoints and interfaces.
Ensure all aspects of the user experience across different products and services reflect the company brand identity, tone and personality.
Be the advocate for design excellence, visual thinking and creative problem-solving.
The ideal candidate will:
Have 2-5 years experience in UX / digital product design
Be able to effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of the user-centered design process and influence product design strategy.
Have experience of leading design activities in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications, from ideation to launch, on multiple projects.
Have extensive experience of user research, competitive analysis, usability testing, journey mapping, content writing, creating user flows, designing wireframes, visual design mockups and building prototypes across multiple platforms and a range of devices and interfaces.
Have in-depth knowledge of web technologies and development frameworks, such as HTML, CSS, Webflow, etc.
Be well-versed with constraints and limitations that technology platforms (desktop, web, mobile) may impose on design practices.
Have extensive experience of working with a variety of design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc., and visual thinking tools such as Mural, Miro, etc.
Have a bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
